My Mining Shack

I recently got back into Minecraft and decided I wanted to do things differently. Normally when I play I gather a little wood, make some tools and build a small mud hut to survive the night. This time I decided I'd myself a little house instead. I didn't really pick this location for any reason, got stuck here as night was falling so I deiced this would be the place. As I was waiting for morning I decided to dig down in a spiral pattern and ended up digging into a cave system. I'v been playing for about 10 hours so far and I'm stilling trying to clear out the massive cave system. Soon I'll start work on my main house, a viking inspired long house and later on maybe even a massive pyramid!

Fount of house, I added a gravel walkway and some flowers. The Sign above the door reads " Tom's Mining Shack"

Inside of my shack, added some chests and a couple beds. The Trap door near the Crafting Table leads to my mine

New Texture Pack and Playing Skin

Image from http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/ozos-texture-pack/
After not having played Minecraft for a couple months when I came back I felt like a change, deciding to use a new texture pack and player skin. The texture pack I ended up choosing is called OzoCraft (http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/ozos-texture-pack/) and is a pretty damn epic pack! Not only does it change the textures of the game but it also includes some new freaky sounds (I swear I headed an Enderman whispering I love You). This is an extremely nice looking pack and I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice clean pack with a little hint of RPG elements.

As for my skin, I went with something basic yet awesome. Red the Pokemon Trainer.
