New Update, Epic Structures

Today I downloaded the new Minecraft patch 1.3.1. The first thing I did was try to find a desert world to find a Temple. So I went looking for a desert seed. Unfortunately I never found an actual desert seed but lucky for me, willing using a random seed (hotelcalifornia) I found one right next to my spawn. The first thing I did was go explore it with nothing but my bare hands (I had forgot to put the bonus chest option in) and punched out this random blue piece of wool. I jumped thought the hole and landed on a pressure plate, which blew me up along with all the loot. I could have this so I deleted that world, created a new world using the same seed and HAVING bonus chests enabled, went back, dug next to the blue wool, fell down and got my loot. In total there was about twenty Gold bars, eighteen Iron Bars, three Emeralds and three Diamonds along with many other various items. I then dug my way out and went on to explore.

As I felt the Temple I noticed a small desert village in the distance. I went off the explore it and see if it had any loot for me to steal. Unfortunately it had nothing of value (no forge) so I just destroyed one of the small house (far away from the view of my temple) because i was in need of the blocks, took all the doors and wheat and left.

Since finding the Temple I have made it into my house and flattened out the sand out side.

My Minecraft Family

Here are my wolfs. When I was out farming string for a fishing rod (So I could catch some Fish for a Cat) and I came across some Wolfs behind my mountain, which I tamed. The first one only needed one Bone while the second needed three or four. As I was hunting thought the night they got injured so I fed them both some Rotten Flesh, which since 1.2.5 makes them have puppies (Any meat will do, I just use Flesh because it has no other use for me). So far I'v had two puppies.
Near my house there is a Jungle Biome. When I had gathered ten Fish I went there in search of an Ocelot. Unfortunately I only managed to find one which I tamed asap. I love this one because of its greens eyes.
Here is my complete Minecraft family (One of the puppies has grown up)

New World, New House, New Mine

(House built on the 12-7-2012)
My new house. I mined into a mountain and dug out a 10x10 room and filled the walls with wood and making it 9x9. For the roof and floor I decide to use logs (which when using stone tools takes ages). I needed about three stacks of logs to finish the whole room. At each side, in the middle I carved in a 3x2 hole for my chests. But because it wasn't even, at one side I placed a Crafting Bench and at the other a Furnace (across from each other). Near the door I placed a stair and two Wooden Slabs. Then I thought i'd be needing more furnaces so I placed two one space away from the slabs on either side. Directly adjacent to them I placed beds. Next to the left bed (As if you where looking from the door) I placed a Jukebox and the right bed I placed an Enchanting Table. And finally, in the middle I carved out a 3x1 hole dug severn block down and put a Trap Door at the top leading to mine.
This is my mine which goes straight down to level twelve. So far I have found fifteen of so diamonds, which took me about half an hour to an hour. The stair way down it three blocks in width and about four in hight. With it being so high you can run down whilst not hitting your head, which slows your character down.

My first Snowman

Above are the Snowmen I created on my new world. I spawned in a Tundra Biome and thought Snowmen would be the perfect guards (Even though they do absolutely nothing). I think they freaky as hell and incredibly cool. All together I have about four Snowmen patrolling around my house, i use them like an early warning system for mobs by listening for snowballs being thrown or the sound of a mob being injured (even though they do no damage, you still hear a noise as if they were damaged.

To create you need two Snow blocks on top of one another and one pumpkin at the top, giving it its head.

Cool looking pattern found by my friend Shane

This was a really cool sequence of three different ores my friend Shane found while doing some mining for me. The Gold (right), Redstone (middle) and Lapis Lazuli (left) really looked nice like this. I am using the oCd Texture pack made by diSCo at the moment and I think it is the best texture pack for mining out large areas.

Rare Sight - Spider Jockey

While I was out hunting for levels one night I cam across my second ever Spider Jockey! I knew I had to grab a screenshot and believe me, this was more difficult then it sounds. Because I fight in the desert (Its open, generally flat and away from my structures) I don't fill in the holes creepers make (Mainly because I think it look much cooler as a war zone). When trying to run and Screenshot the Spider Jockey I must have fell into about 5 holes, which made these the only good screenshot I could manage to take.

Giant Slime

Here's a Giant Slime I found while searching for Gold. I thought I'd upload the Screenshot because its the first Giant Slime I have ever seen, and I think Slimes are epic!
